Faux Fire Place Mantle

Even a home without a fireplace can benefit from a mantle.  A place to display photos, frame an alcove or  built in bookshelf, or just a place for hanging stockings during the holidays. This one was used to frame an electronic fireplace and was finished just in time for Christmas.  Salvaged red fir and salvaged batten boards.  Finished with linseed oil and wax.
